About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Family SafeguardingSocial Worker to join our team in Bury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to support families in making positive changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans that promote the safety and welfare of children.
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to provide holistic support and interventions.
- Provide direct support and intervention to families to help them address issues and achieve positive outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including child protection conferences and core group meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
- Offer guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in Family Safeguarding or child protection within a statutory setting.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.
