Salary range: £35,745 - £42,403 per annum

Work location: Oxford City

Hours per week: 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am – 4:00pm Friday

Contract type: Permanent

Criminal record check requirements: This role is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Check.

Our aim is to identify risks to vulnerable children, at the earliest possible stage, and provide a safe and speedy triage to determine the most effective interventions.


About the role


As a qualified Social Worker this is your opportunity to be part of our innovative countywide service. You will be at the frontline, triaging calls, collating and assessing partner information and making recommendations on outcomes. Working alongside colleagues in Children's Social Care, Emergency Duty Team, Thames Valley Police, Oxford Health and Oxford University Hospitals, Education, Probation, Fire and Rescue, South Central Ambulance Service, Youth Justice and Oxford City Council.


The post is office based and the hours are structured, therefore, the need to work outside of normal hours are less likely in this role compared to other statutory social work teams. The work is fast paced and challenging, and you will learn something new every day!


About you


You will need post qualifying experience of multi-agency working and duty and/or assessments of children and families is therefore preferred and in return we offer plenty of training and development opportunities.
