Oxfordshire County Council are currently looking to recruit a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner (Family Solutions Plus) to join their team on a permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP39,186 - GBP46,464 per annum and pension scheme (up to 19.9% employer contribution).
Location: Oxford, North Oxfordshire, South Oxfordshire. We are an agile working organisation; you may be required to work from office base or remote locations depending on the needs of the children and young people we support
Hours: 37 hours - we are open to discussions about flexible working

About the Social Worker / Senior Practitioner role:
Our Family Solutions Plus (FSP) service is based on the Family Safeguarding Model; adult-facing practitioners provide direct support to families in need of help due to mental health, domestic abuse, and substance misuse needs, working closely with Social Workers in our social care teams to promote great outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Our FSP service is locality based, delivering support and intervention where families live, in our Children & Family Centres across the County.
As our Social Worker / Senior Practitioner, you will:
- Focus on successful outcomes for families using a relational, strengths-based approach.
- Use motivational interviewing to engage and support families with making the changes they need.
- Be supported with individual supervision to promote your wellbeing and professional development.
- Hold a manageable caseload of no more than 18 children as an experienced Social Worker, to ensure that you have the time you need to spend with the children and families you are working with.
- Have opportunities to continue to learn while you work, by undertaking training, webinars, practice learning events and reflective sessions.
