Form of workA tier 1 supplier of hydraulic systems to the Automotive industry is seeking to recruit a Software Developer (Diagnostics) to work on a hybrid basis from their site in Nuneaton (2 days per week from home). The Role This position will involve engineering of the full software life cycle, concept, specification, analysis, design, implementation and test. Duties & Responsibilities * To develop software for products according to TS16949 processes. * To develop diagnostic software to be used by diagnostic engineers. * To develop software for in-house test purposes. * To support engineers from other disciplines in system development and testing. * To support service engineers in the field where specific assistance is required. * Follow product development processes including the company Project Management Model and APQP. * Perform job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure preservation of Company Quality Policy. Experience Ideal candidates will be fluent in C# with experience in the following areas: * Strong 'C#' Windows programming language skills. * Strong 'C' programming language skills. * Good familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio. * Experience with PC support software for embedded applications. * Experience with real-time systems is an advantage. * Experience with CAN protocols is an advantage. * Experience developing automated unit tests is an advantage.
