Form of workAs a Software Developer, you will be responsible for collaborative work within a team, focusing on designing and implementing software features and solutions based on user story-style work items. Your responsibilities include the creation of high-quality software code that aligns with the specified standards and meets the intended purpose. Additionally, there is a commitment to actively contribute to ongoing enhancements in engineering practices, team agility, and overall delivery quality throughout the entire software development life cycle. The role emphasizes the construction of superior software features and flexibility in handling various tasks. You will be required to uphold delivery throughout and mentoring collaboratively with less experienced team members. A key aspect of the role is the promotion of excellent teamwork and the cultivation of a trusting culture within the team.
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum
This role is fully remote; however, candidates must be within a commutable distance to Leeds (once per month).
Software Developer Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Commercial experience of .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, Git, HTTP / web programming.
- Experience with RDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL).
- Some knowledge of Angular or similar SPA framework.
- Nice to have experience of TypeScript, document DBs.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and using Agile tools and techniques.
- Appreciation of a DevOps approach to delivering and running systems and services.
- Appreciation of web security risks and mitigating tactics.
- Understands CI/CD and Build pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- A desire to keep learning and a beginner's mindset.
- Analytical thinker and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to think beyond user requirements and show user empathy.
- Team-player who can also work independently.
