What you will do in your working day
- First line support for software related production issues. Helping to investigate these issues on the production line. Responding to support requests from production.
- Using in-house software to interrogate Robotic Automowers in order to diagnose product issues.
- Deployment and configuration of software updates.
- Working in a team collaborating in new product introductions and assisting in the software requirements for production lines.
- Investigating various production data sources to support the team and other departments.
- Develop software applications using C#/SQL/Python/PowerApps.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The ability to evaluate and embrace new software technologies.
- Collaborate with Quality and Product support to root cause analyse, and support production issues.
- Collaborate with production to identify and assist with day to day software related issues.
- Scope for the right candidate to progress within the software team.
- Offering guidance and basic training to production staff on software related issues.
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4:30pm. Maybe be required to work occasional overtime.

Entry requirements
GCSE or equivalent Maths/English/Science/Technology/IT (Grade C/4 or above) Desired

The training you will be getting
- The successful candiadte will undertake an Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification (Engineering technician / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education). The apprenticehsip will be delivered by New College Durham.
- Year 1-3 - Day release one day per week at New College Durham with the other days on site at Husqvarna in Newton Aycliffe.
- Complete additional Vocational & Instructor lead training to acquire skills for Software Development.
