About Flare:

Flare is an innovative startup founded by three Cambridge graduates. We specialize in developing white-label safety apps tailored for universities, colleges, and schools. Our focus is on creating tools that enhance campus safety and security.

Your Role:

As a Software Developer Intern at Flare, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing directly to our product development and market entry strategies. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and take ownership of key client-focused functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be working on a mix of front-end and back-end code bases. You will have the opportunity to come up with designs and solutions for some challenging technical and user experience requirements. With an emphasis on velocity, you’ll see your contributions directly impact our clients.

Tech Stack:

Knowledge of these specific technologies are not required — we care more about how you solve problems and whether you can learn efficiently from our feedback

  • Flutter
  • TypeScript (Bun)
  • React
  • Rust

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an undergraduate or postgraduate program Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language

Compensation:

£5,050 (£26,260 FTE)
