My client is a market leader in the travel space with a specific focus on digital commerce. They are looking for a seasoned Software Development Manager to lead multiple innovative engineering teams to deliver keynote product and platform solutions to their impressive list of clients within the travel space.

Software Development Manager – Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of market-making product and platform products, on time and within budget, providing direction to the wider delivery team to ensure the optimal approach to implementation.
• Oversee the full SDLC from planning through to customer satisfaction while providing direction on scope, scale and timeline to the team and the client.
• Review functional & technical specifications, providing feedback to Product Management and Architecture teams.
• Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders, acting as the bridge between technical and business-focused teams.
• Ensure to set long/short-term goals for your team with regular training and mentoring to manage their career development.

Software Development Manager – Required Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in Software Development.
• 3+ years managing Software Development teams within product-based environments.
• Strong technical background with experience in a combination of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Git, Oracle, MongoDB, Postgres, JIRA, Jenkins, JMeter etc.
• Solid experience delivering enterprise software to global customers.
• Experience working with any of the major open-source or commercial frameworks E.g. Spring, Hibernate.
• Experience in systems engineering, security, UI systems, and disaster recovery.
• Strong understanding of branching and release strategies.

• Experience working within the Travel or e-commerce industry.
• Experience working within Platforms and Customer solutions.
