You’ve been coding in Java a long time, as well as mentoring your colleagues, organising work, managing estimations and more. You’re good at what you do but there’s never been the chance to formally step up, to lead, support and manage. This is it, that rare role, the one that will give you leadership experience and more.
We’re looking for a Dev Manager / Team leader to guide and support the team. You’ll organise, mentor, support, manage spinning plates and give them direction, not instructions and deliver brilliant solutions.
There are currently seven developers, mostly mid-level and junior. We are also recruiting for a graduate as well as some apprentices. They work on a huge number of applications, supporting existing projects, new feature development and greenfield. The core stack is Java and Glassfish with Oracle but there is also a small PHP team and React Native for mobile.
Graham is a great IT Director, there to support you and help spread the workload. He’s a brilliant people manager, leader and mentor and will give you all the tools and support that you need to succeed as well as training opportunities and career development.
