Title: Software Engineer – React.js, Tailwind

Location: Remote - 1 day a month in London Office

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

About the role
The successful Software Engineer will be helping shape the future of healthcare. You will be supporting the development of a solution that can support the NHS in making data-driven decisions, support front-line healthcare workers in making safer, more informed decisions, and empower patients to better engage with their own care. You will be working alongside a team of experienced, collaborative engineers who will work together to deliver this vision. Your focus is on delivery and working directly with their partners and customers to complete each client’s implementation in an efficient and excellent manner. This will be almost entirely a hands-on development role, and everyone is involved in designing architecture, helping lead workstreams, and sharing knowledge with your peers.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clinical web applications that align with their strategic goals.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure the robustness, usability, and reliability of the software.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate ability to tackle complex technical challenges with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical team members and stakeholders, and strong collaboration skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including experience in implementing security protocols and data protection measures.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in full-stack development, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating proficiency in Tailwind, React.js, Laravel, PHP, JavaScript & PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in building intuitive user interfaces with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks and knowledgeable in web fundamentals to create cross-platform, crossbrowser compatible applications.
• Familiar with software development methodologies and version control (BitBucket), continuous integration (Jenkins), and project management tools (Jira).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure) is desirable.
• Experience in healthcare technology or working with clinical systems is a plus.
