About this role

You will be joining the Information Security Cybertech Development team as a full stack Software Engineer in a global team responsible for developing web applications (Java/Angular), data engineering (Perl/Python) and solutions with third party products.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment that uses agile methodologies to deliver solutions quickly. You will work directly with the project leads, business partners and engineers to identify the problem and craft solutions that are both robust and quick to market.

The suite of applications developed and maintained by the team are used to enhance the firm’s information security threat detection, compliance, entitlement management architectures and audit assurance programs.

Personal and technical growth is developed under the mentorship of a group of vastly experienced, technically focused colleagues

Full stack development (front end & back end). Designing and conceptualising options. Developing, prototyping and implementation. Working with clients to capture business requirements. Writing and sharing test specifications. Documentation and deployment. Operating in an Agile environment. Research & Development with new technologies.

Desirable Technical Skills:

➢ Good understanding of Object Orientated programming.

➢ Good understanding of writing/reading SQL statements.

➢ Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems/commands.

➢ Exposure to Wildfly web servers.

➢ Experience working with source control such as git.

➢ Testing technology like Junit, Jest and concepts such as mocking.

Programming Language:

➢ Proficient in Java EE

  • with OpenJDK or similar
  • with Spring 4.0+ Framework
  • with Wildfly web servers (or similar)
  • with Angular 11+

Or

➢ Proficient in Python

  • Exposure to Python frameworks like Django, Flask or Pyramid
  • Using Python in a security operations capacity

This vacancy is a 12 months full-time internship.
