JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Oracle
SALARY: £66,861 - £74,290
LOCATION: Bristol
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
Our vision within the Finance Platform is to promote value for our customers, colleagues and partners.
Join us as a Software Engineer to help develop the new end-to-end target state strategic data journey within the bank, working with multiple stakeholders across both Finance and the wider group.
Accountabilities:

• Be part of a cross-disciplinary team in addition to being a highly experienced member of our wider Lloyds engineering team. Our Engineers are encouraged to demonstrate and apply outstanding Software Engineering approaches, whilst working in a collaborative and agile environment.

• You’ll help our platform deliver business value through fully rounded engineering methods and technologies, ensuring platforms and software are built consistently with relevant patterns and practices.

• You’ll continually develop yourself with industry standard methodology and tooling used across their engineering teams.

• Help us strive towards a new data-centric strategy and take existing and new applications forward into the future data models.

• Work with various stakeholders in the delivery of the Finance Transformation program predominantly on Oracle Public Cloud (OCI) using a multitude of components from the Oracle Financial suite.

What you’ll need (essential)

• As much experience across the Oracle Finance Apps as possible. That includes FSDF, DIH, ODI, OIC, ERP, EPM, OAC, FAW.
• Experience of Oracle public cloud (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure [OCI])
• Good scripting/coding skills (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell)
• Understanding of DevOps and Automation principles
• An understanding of the end-to-end system development lifecycle
• Good communication when working with different collaborators across workstreams
• The confidence to constructively challenge decisions when relevant
• Engineering Curiosity - is always looking for opportunities to do things better.
• Flexibility and is comfortable picking up new skills as needed
