Team : Engineering
Location : Remote working supported, around 10% on-site requirement with ability to commute into Manchester or London office as necessary for team meetings, monthly in office days and quarterly whole department days.

Salary Range : We would like to pay £45,000 - £60,000 for this role depending on experience but would be open to candidates near this range too

Key Responsibilities
The role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Platform team .
Our cloud native approach means using Azure PaaS solutions where possible to deliver value to our clients. Clients operate their business from our platform. This team works on our Azure PaaS infrastructure, IaaS configuration and software such as payment systems and identity service. They are focused on projects to improve the development experience of the rest of the team and the architecture of our platform.
The ideal candidate will be practised in agile delivery, test driven development, IAC and cloud technologies. They will be excited by the challenges of building and operating the web services and infrastructure for a business critical SaaS product serving the entertainment industry.
The role

Key Requirements
Candidates must:
Have at least a year of software industry experience
Have experience using infrastructure as code to provision cloud resources (e.g Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, etc)
Some exposure to C#/Powershell and proficient in at least one programming language (eg C#, Java, Ruby, Python, Powershell, etc)
Be comfortable with the following working practices
Pair programming
Agile software delivery practices including Lean and Kanban
Test Driven Development
Continuous Integration
Have experience working with web applications in production environments
Be keen to learn new technologies and skills
Be receptive to feedback and be able to give constructive feedback
Technologies Experience of our existing tech stack or equivalents is a bonus but if you are not familiar with these then we still want to hear from you. You’ll just need to be happy to learn them

Working from home We aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to working setups and lots of our team work from home on a regular basis. This means we generally work with a “remote first” approach even when we are in the office.
We’ll provide reasonable support and all the hardware you need to get started, but we do require that you have the following already in place for a good home working set up:
A quiet working space at home where you can consistently take video calls without interruptions
An internet connection that supports your participation in video calls and access to our systems and service.
Travelling into your local office (commuting) is at your own expense with a stipend available, any travel for business (other than commuting) will be covered by Spektrix.
