Brio Digital is working with a long-established firm and Yorkshire success story. Due to growth, they're looking to hire a Software Engineering Manager to manage 2-3 squads.
In a world where technology is constantly evolving, this company is at the forefront. They have launched a £25 million, four-year transformation program to provide customers with the best online experience.
They need a strong Engineering Manager to lead the charge in building a market-leading, digital-first experience and developing a new commercial platform. In this pivotal role, you'll be managing the development of a commercial platform supporting 80,000+ contracts. Your leadership will be instrumental within the CTO, Tech and Change function, and the wider Group.
The tech stack is cutting-edge, featuring .NET Core, Angular, Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, TDD/BDD, Cloud Native, and Agile/Scrum.
Software Engineering Manager the role;
- Lead a dynamic team of technologists 2-3 squads
- Oversee the development, delivery, and continuous enhancement of complex technology solutions for diverse stakeholders.
- Cultivate an innovative environment where your vision is embraced by your team and throughout the organization.
- Foster strong relationships with varied stakeholders, imparting the value of Engineering for their businesses and customers.
- Set team goals and ensure their successful attainment.
- Develop and implement development plans.
- Manage the team's resources and workload.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest development trends and technologies.
- Identify and implement new development processes and tools.
- Resolve development issues and ensure the team's work is of the highest quality.
**What you need to bring:**
- Team management expertise, including coaching, performance management, development, and succession planning.
- Proficiency in metric-driven Engineering methodology and Agile techniques.
- Familiarity with Testing automation techniques, TDD, and BDD.
- Experience in managing scaled agile engineering practices and collaborating with Product Managers.
- A strong stakeholder engagement approach.
