In this role, you will be the functional manager of the control software team including development of the capability, management of resource demand, recruitment and optimisation of processes across all of the MAPPS UK Ltd projects.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Lead on all Software Engineering processes; covering Agile approaches, configuration control, safety related development, improvement and evolution of process and procedure.
- Technical lead on T26 PMS project covering resource allocation in Sprint Teams, estimation, progress tracking, client liaison on Software Engineering issues, develop initiatives to improve quality and productivity.
- Responsible for the People and Process required to develop Control Software; performance reviews, recruitment, resource planning and allocation across multiple projects, create, support and monitor individual engineer’s development plan.
What you’ll bring
The role of Software Engineering Team Lead requires the following experience and skills:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Software Engineering role and taking a lead role
- Experience of leading and making improvements to software development methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall) and processes
- Wealth of experience in configuration control and change processing
- Previous experience managing a team of engineers; delegation, resource planning, performance reviews, etc.
- An appreciation of a software language would be beneficial (C++, Python, Java, etc).
