Software Project Manager (SAAS)

Our client is a leading SaaS organisation urgently seeking an Project Manager initial 6 month contract with the opportunity to be extended or go permanent. You will play a crucial role in helping their engineering and product teams move faster and build smarter. About the Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced end-to-end software delivery transformation and change professional who excels in stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a strong permanent employment history and a proven track record of successfully implementing software development projects using Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the delivery of requested outcomes from technical platform migrations and software development projects using a robust and documented project method.
• Collaborate with Commercial Operations to analyse, manage, and govern resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Apply a solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of Agile and traditional project management principles, blending them appropriately to fit the project and business environment.
• Lead and manage large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams, ensuring successful project implementation.
• Oversee multi-function project teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, and QA/test personnel.
• Provide highly credible leadership to development teams, accurately evaluating complex project risks and issues.
• Ensure a clear understanding of business requirements and priorities, identifying and delivering appropriate IT solutions expediently.
• Define and own the IT Mission, formulating and deploying short, medium, and long-term strategic IT Plans that align with the business needs of the organisation.

Technologies and Achievements:

• Applied a cloud-first approach to build scalable IT infrastructure in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), enabling rapid company growth from 20 people to 250+ last year.
• Recently implemented an Omnichannel Amazon Connect contact centre for the customer services team, leveraging machine learning (ML), AI, and interactive voice response (IVR) for scalable solutions.
• They have commissioned a customer-facing platform using Node.js, React, RPA (UiPath), and API-based data platform in Azure cloud, handling high transaction volumes
• Implemented DevOps and CI/CD leveraging Azure pipelines and GitHub.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex Software Projects in a high-tech development environment.
• Proven experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies, particularly in enterprise-level application development projects.
• Sufficient technical background to provide credible leadership to development teams and evaluate project risks accurately.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to consult with and gain the support of key stakeholders, especially department heads across all divisions.
• Experience overseeing project teams with at least 5 members, including Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA/test personnel.
• Ability to influence and gain buy-in from stakeholders and subordinates alike.
• Formal project management qualifications such as Scrum, Agile, MSP, or PMP are advantageous but not essential.
