Software Qa Engineer

A growing tech organisation based in Edinburgh is looking for a skilled Software QA Engineer to join their team - it's a brand-new opportunity to join a small, dynamic company working on impactful technology.

The product is used to improve safety and reliability in critical energy infrastructure. They are growing the technical team, due to a lot of success over the last few years. This is an especially exciting opportunity as you will be a vital member of a team which is innovating a market segment that should see enormous growth over the next decade.

They are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong automation experience, as solo Tester you will have autonomy to design the automation how you see fit, there are some basic frameworks in place, but you will be able put your own stamp on the software testing function. You will be carrying out Exploratory Testing and deciding which tests to automate - with an emphasis on back-end testing.

They're flexible on technical background and experience but you'll be working with Python and JavaScript in an AWS and Linux environment. It's a small team and you will be coming in initially as the solo Tester (with the opportunity to lead the Software QA function down the line) so there's an opportunity to have a big impact!

The company have offices in London and the US, but this role will be based in their central location in Edinburgh. With the opportunity for hybrid working (3 + days a week). They can offer a salary of £40,000-£50,000 and offer a strong benefits package, with all the usual perks plus and more.
