What youll do
- Be involved in a wide range of QA activities, with a particular focus on manual testing of work, upfront QA involvement during the design and build of software, and working with Engineering, Product, and Business Stakeholders to help ensure work of the highest quality is delivered
- Contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, acceptance tests, and test plans, and being a full part of the QA team as it evolves its processes and tools
- Contribute to the writing and execution of automated tests, both for API and front end.
- Support the seamless delivery of a software release through the required testing phases to candidate live release stage
- Take full responsibility for learning from post release issues, and feeding back into further improved test processes
- Work with others to improve testability of software
What youll need to be successful
- 1+ years experience of a test/QA role
- A real testers mindset, with experience of tackling complex testing scenarios, and a passion for Software Testing and bug hunting
- A strong grasp of testing techniques and experience of applying those to real world scenarios
- Some experience with Test Automation would be an advantage, but not mandatory
- Testing accreditation is preferred, such as ISTQB , but not mandatory and we would consider putting a suitable canidate through accreditation
- Knowledge of some basic coding skills would be an advantage, but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills the successful candidate must be able to succinctly capture and communicate issues found during testing
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team environment
- Experience of being the lead tester on a project would be an advantage, but not mandatory
- Take ownership to pursue test issues through to conclusion
- Excellent customer service expertise - to work directly with customers to deliver a great service/product
- Be a genuine team player with a passion to learn and share ideas, and be enthusiasticabout Software Testing
