Software Test Lead - Cornwall Gbp50,000

I have a new role for a Test Lead/ QA Lead to join an amazing Tech for Good business who do a lot of work with charities and have an office in Cornwall. They would like someone local enough (around Devon/ Cornwall). who can pop in from time to time but you have the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Originally the development of their platform was outsourced and they are now starting to bring their development in house. They really value quality and as a result are prioritising getting 2 testers on board as some of their very first in house hires. It's a great opportunity to join a organisation doing some incredible things

They are now looking to hire a Test Lead/ Senior Tester to join as their first dedicated in house tester. You will work closely with their CTO and the outsourced development team (which will gradually be bought in house). You will be responsible for getting a proper test strategy and qa processes in place and will work closely with the outsourced team to coordinate some of the testing that they get involved in. Its an exciting role as you will have the opportunity to shape how their testing is done and make sure that their Charity clients get an incredible product . The role is very much a hands on role and so you'll be happy to throw yourself straight in. You'll be writing test plans, carrying out functional testing, regression testing , and UAT across their software and working closely with internal and external members of the team You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and develop a junior tester that they are looking to hire immediately. Any automation skills would also be useful as they would love to get some automation in place .

Their ideal person will be an experienced Software Test Lead./ QA Lead/ Senior Tester who is excited about the opportunity of shaping and developing their test function and ready to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
