We are working exclusively with an EPC providing services to the solar industry who are seeking an experienced Site Manager .
This exciting opportunity will mean overseeing projects across Scotland Ground mount Arrays From Mechanical to Electrical installs including Civils, Site and project management.
Position Title: SOLAR PV Construction Site Manager
Based at: Project Sites as required
Position reports to: Operations Director
Role overview: To effectively project manage, co-ordinate all staff activity, stock requirements and liaise with clients for the successful delivery and construction of commercial solar photovoltaic installations, ground mount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the installation of site services, including welfare, cabling, fencing, CCTV installation
- Responsible for managing all civil works on project sites
- Manage a team of labourers and sub-contractors of varying personalities and skill levels on site
- Ensure all work undertaken is safe and that it complies with current regulations
- Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Project Managers to ensure works are completed in a timely and cost effective manner to a high standard
- Responsible for meeting all H & S requirements on site
- Conduct Risk Assessments and ensure all employees and sub-contractors are fully aware of safe methods of working
- Ensuring personal and safety of others at all times
- Able to read and understand design requirements
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
- Hand-on approach - undertake any tasks to assist with the installation of Solar PV systems
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by management
- Meet the requirements of CDM regulations as and when applicable
Skills required:
- Previous experience of construction related activities, including electrical and mechanical
- Ability to supervise a team of operatives
- Knowledge of H & S in Construction regulations
- Self-motivated, focused, results and quality oriented
- High standards of workmanship and professionalism
- Team player, effective communicator
- The ability to achieve tight deadlines
- Cordial and professional with excellent client facing skills
- Clean driving license
- Computer literate
- Eligible to work in the UK

- A requirement to travel and to stay away from home as and when required. All accommodation, expenses, will be provided by the Company.
