The Organisation

Our client is a dynamic renewables development and management firm with solid track record and ambitious growth plans. There is a significant existing pipeline exceeding 1GW of Solar PV and Battery Storage. There is also large backing from one of the largest infra funds in Europe to develop a further 1GW.

The Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Solar PV Design Expert to join our team as a crucial member of our project development department. As a Solar PV Design Expert, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality solar PV designs for our renewable energy projects. You will work closely with project developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of solar PV systems.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather relevant data for solar PV system design.

· Utilize software tools to design and simulate solar PV systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

· Prepare detailed engineering drawings, including layout plans, electrical diagrams, and equipment specifications.

· Collaborate with project developers to determine project requirements, goals, and constraints.

· Provide technical expertise and guidance during project development and construction phases.

· Evaluate and select appropriate solar PV technologies, components, and equipment.

· Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to assess the viability of solar PV projects.

· Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in solar PV design.

· Collaborate with external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations.

· Support project developers in preparing proposals, bids, and project documentation.

· Assist in project performance monitoring and analysis, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

· Proven experience in solar PV system design, including site assessments, layout plans, and electrical design.

· Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies, components, and equipment.

· Proficient in using software tools for solar PV system design and simulation.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work.

· Experience with project development and construction processes is preferred.

· Professional certifications in solar PV design or renewable energy are a plus.
