Solidwood Machine Field Technician - Position Overview

My client are a leading producer of machinery and systems, as well as service provider, for the woodworking industry.

They are currently looking for an Electrically biased Solidwood Machine Technician in a field service-based role.
You will be working across a vast range of Classical wood machinery products using Spindles, Moulders, Planers, Thicknessers, Panel Saws, Edgebanders and Sanders. This role could suit an ex-wood machinist that has been involved in maintaining equipment and problem solving.
the position will involve Machine installation, commissioning and training and you will be responsible for all aspects of electrical and mechanical breakdowns and repairs.
This role would suit someone based in the Midlands as UK wide travel is required, however candidates from all areas would be considered with the right skillset.

Solidwood Machine Field Technician - Position Requirements

• Strong Electrical competences preferred and mechanical experience
• Experience working with PLC is advantageous but not essential
• Good communication skills and confidence
• Autonomous and methodical in approach when fault finding.
• Customer focused.
• Trustworthy, reliable and courteous.
• Must be prepared to travel and stay away

Solidwood Machine Field Technician - Position Remuneration

• Salary £31K - £34K (experience dependant Plus OT - OTE +£40K
• 30 days Holiday (Including stats and Christmas - 20 days floating) all holidays paid at average 3 months earnings.
• 40 hours per week
