Salary - Circa 31,000 DOE

We're supporting a specialist design and manufacturer of beautiful high-end contemporary staircases predominantly within the domestic sector.
They're currently looking to expand their design function due to an increase in demand of their services. The SolidWorks Design Engineer will work closely with housing developers as well as architects and would have a sound understanding of joinery or fabrication design with a background in creating detailed technical product drawing packs.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to

• Manage your own workload taking orders from design approval, through to delivery of the product
• Create production-ready designs for a full range of products using SolidWorks
• Prepare drawing/document packs for issue internally and externally across a range of products
• Prepare drawing registers and issue sheets to accompany designs
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Customers
• Apply acquired product knowledge to reach solutions on site during the installation of their products
• Support estimating, customer service & manufacturing teams in managing the flow of information through the business

Experiences required

• Competent in 3D modelling using SolidWorks but similar CAD packages will be considered i.e. Inventor, Solid-Edge, or Fusion 360
• A background in design for either fabrication/metalwork or joinery design
• Able to create detailed technical production drawing packs, assembly & installation guides
• Educated or time served within relevant industry

Package
40 Hours P/W Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-4:30pm Bonus Scheme Pension 20+8 Days Holiday
