Job Description
As a Solutions Architect - Pre-Sales, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our organisation by providing technical expertise, strategic guidance, and exceptional customer service during the pre-sales process. You will collaborate with the sales team and engage with prospective clients to understand their business requirements, design innovative solutions, and articulate their value propositions. Your deep technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and ability to develop strong relationships will be crucial in presenting compelling solutions and winning new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify prospective clients and opportunities, understand their technical needs, and provide technical support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Engage with customers to gather requirements, conduct assessments, and analyse their business objectives to design comprehensive and customised solutions.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions that effectively showcase the value and capabilities of our products and services.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance, best practices, and industry insights to address their challenges and achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Act as overall solution lead whilst collaborating with technical pre-sales subject matter experts (SMEs) to define multi-year, multi-discipline solutions.
  • Act as a technical advisor and lead expert during pre-sales engagements, including product demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and technical presentations.
  • Create detailed technical proposals, Solution Architectures, and high-level designs and assist with the creation of implementation plans that align with customer requirements and showcase the technical feasibility and scalability of our offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, professional services, and operations, to ensure seamless handover of projects and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to continuously enhance your knowledge and provide innovative solutions that differentiate us from competitors.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of pre-sales processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline operations and enhance the effectiveness of the team.
Continuously enhance technical knowledge and expertise through self-learning, certifications, and training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a equivalent field experience. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar technical pre-sales role, preferably in the software, cloud services, or IT infrastructure domains.
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as cloud (private and public) computing, software development, networking, security, and data management.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and architecting complex solutions, including integrating multiple technologies and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications in line with our overarching technology focus areas, which are: Cloud (including private cloud), Modern Workplace, Data & AI, Enterprise Apps, Cyber Security and Networking and Communications.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
