Our Professional Services team is recruiting a Solution Architect whose primary focus will be to work with our customers to understand their detailed requirements, then use these plans to publish technical solution documents and specifications and be the central figure for all engagements with our customer's project. Working closely with many key stakeholders this role is pivotal to the fulfilment and success of delivery and you must therefore have a strong background in a similar role and worked with a Tier 1 company in the finance and retail banking sector.
You will be working to customer timelines and constraints within the industry, so it is imperative that you have a background in detailed technical specification document writing and a good understanding of banking industry compliance requirements such as EMV, Card payments schemes and PCI. You should be familiar with tools such as Visio, Jira, and Confluence, have outstanding communication and presentation skills and be able to work with a wide range of people within the team to achieve the desired outcome. Projects can be ever changing so this role demands someone who is flexible and can work to changing demands and deadlines. You should also have advanced skills in MS Office applications. If you have previous working experience in the sector or Automated Cash, Self-Service technologies or retail POS this will be beneficial.
Some of the responsibilities of this role include
- Understanding of the constraints of the overall technical solution in terms of non-functional requirements, commercial impact, and compliance restrictions/requirements.
- Collaborating with the wider Cennox organisation to ensure functionality is aligned to the expectations agreed with the customer and understanding the overall Cennox organisational impact.
- Provide detailed documentation that is pivotal to the successful delivery of a project or new sales led engagements. This includes detailed technical design and solution documents.
- Working closely with internal and external developers to agree outcomes and output based on the requirements, scope, and other constraints such as security and compliance.
- Agree format and structure for all documentation created based on standards agreed with the Cennox stakeholders and the customer.
- Storage, management and maintaining version control of all documentation in an agreed central repository. This will require use of tools such Teams, Visio, Jira, and Confluence.
- Revise and/or create documentation, ensuring all documentation is provided in a consistent. format/structure, presented in an easily digestible format and are readily available to all users.
- Pilot/road test documentation with end users to ensure the content is fit for purpose.
- Identify and manage issues and risks throughout the project engagement.
