Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our technology team. This role will involve collaborating closely with product engineering teams to understand their requirements and help design technical solutions that leverage GraphQL, Kafka, and webhooks.
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for developing comprehensive technical strategies and designs, including database diagrams, sequence diagrams, and overall system architectures without directly engaging in coding. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring our technology solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with our strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage with product engineering teams to gather technical and business requirements.
• Design and document high-level architectural solutions using GraphQL, Kafka, and webhooks based on the team's requirements.
• Create detailed system integration plans and data flow diagrams to guide development teams.
• Develop database schemas and sequence diagrams to ensure clarity and efficiency in implementation.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals with technical solutions.
• Guide teams on best practices for data structures, message conventions, and topic management in Kafka.
• Provide leadership and expertise in the adoption of new technologies and frameworks, ensuring they fit within the architectural plans and company vision.
• Stay updated on new technologies and architectural trends to continuously improve the solutions provided.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of GraphQL, Kafka, and the use of webhooks in large-scale environments.
• Experience in designing technical solutions for complex software development projects.
• Strong ability to create and interpret database schemas, sequence diagrams, and other system documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about technology solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with other messaging or streaming platforms besides Kafka.
• Experience with cloud architectures and services, especially in a multi-cloud environment.
