Solutions Architect

As our Solutions Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that align with Buzz Bingo's business goals and technology strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and software development, as well as the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. This role requires an understanding of cloud architecture, data management, and software development practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable, and secure solutions that meet business requirements. Integrate seamlessly with existing systems, including accurate estimation of anticipated effort, time, and costs, such as licensing impacts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DevOps teams, ensuring best practices are met.
• Producing quality and deliverable solution design documents and artefacts.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, transformation and DevOps teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Be accountable for designs adhering to Data, Integration, Security and Infrastructure roadmaps and standards.
• Ensure all solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, focusing on data security and privacy.
• Continuously looking for opportunities to improve IT systems, including re-engineering, systems retirement, simplification and system consolidation while reducing technical debt and ongoing costs.
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and trends relevant to the business and its activities, including competitor technical activity.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectures, designs, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Collaborate with the rest of the Architecture team to uphold the Enterprise Architecture.

Your Knowledge and Experience:

Must-Have:

• Profound technical proficiency in Microsoft technologies, contemporary workplace computing, and SaaS product implementation, specifically Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Demonstrated capability in crafting adaptable, dependable, cost-efficient, and secure solution designs.
• Proficiency in explaining the benefits and rationale of an approach while working with delivery teams.
• Effective communication skills for presenting technical issues and solutions to key stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Ability to think strategically and assess options across short, medium, and long-term timeframes.
• Experience with data technologies including MS SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security standards and optimal practices in data and software architecture.
• Relevant certifications include TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL, or their equivalents.

Preferred:

• Extensive experience in solution design and architectural thinking.
• Sound knowledge of API and Integration architectures, encompassing legacy integration.
• Background in consultancy, technical leadership, or service design.
