Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sonographer to join our medical team. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on patients to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best images
- Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficient in medical terminology
- Experience in mammography and CT scanning is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Requirements:
- Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Sonographer
- Current CPR certification
