The role will be based at the company’s Head Office in Cheshire and hybrid working is in place.

As a Sourcing Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the wider Sourcing Team with identifying gaps in the supply base and playing an integral role in the onboarding process of new suppliers. The role will provide you with the opportunity to work with key suppliers across the globe and support in the execution of a global supplier strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier introduction, on-boarding, development, and ongoing management of the supplier database.
• Have an understanding of how to negotiate with suppliers to achieve the desired goal which is mutually beneficial to both parties.

• Collaborate with suppliers on any initial cross costing exercises and have an appreciation of some cost saving strategies.
• Work closely with all internal stakeholders - understanding how their departments and job roles work i.e. Buying, Design, Merch, Finance, Ops. Have a clear view and opinion on how we can collaborate together to achieve the global sourcing strategy.
• Analyse various data sets to understand the direction of and foresee any potential issues.
• Support in achieving key sustainability goals.
• Keen interest in sustainability, keeping up to date with the latest innovations to report back to the team.
• Running reports, with a good understanding of all aspects of Microsoft Office.
• Manage daily email communication with global supply base.
• Responsible for managing the supplier database, ensuring this is maintained and regularly reviewed with the wider team.

• Responsible for liaising with suppliers, keeping track of factory management, due diligence documentation and noting and recording any key changes within the supply base.
• Involved in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support wider company growth.
• Manage the relationship between the business and its labelling/packaging suppliers as well as the supply base.
• Attend UK supplier meetings and trade shows.
• Collate and record all factory audits and additional ethical information during supplier set ups and maintain these records.

Who we’re looking for:

• Ideally you will have a background/interest in fashion and have worked in a sourcing or similar role.

• You’ll have strong relationship building and communication skills.
• Good analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly proficient in PowerPoint.
• You’ll be a self-starter and someone who thrives on working in a?fast-paced?environment.
• Strong presentation and influencing skills as well as excellent organisational skills and the ability to reprioritise tasks based on needs to the business.
