Gleeson Logistics are exclusively partnering with an internationally recognised Third Party Logistics business, in their search for a Sourcing Manager within their centralised procurement function.
Aligned to the CAPEX and Facilities Management categories, the Sourcing Manager role will be responsible for the identification and implementation of value add opportunities, to optimise the group's financial performance, business resilience and quality of goods and services received from suppliers. Joining a new and evolving Procurement function, the role holder will be a flexible, proactive and resilient individual, who is capable of working in a fast paced environment, with competing demands on their time.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribution to the departmental savings targets
- Creation and implementation of strategic category plans
- Ownership of a Preferred Supplier List
- Overall strategic lead of category
The Ideal candidate:
- Proven ability to identify and implement value add commercial solutions within the CAPEX, Facilities Management, Packaging or Fuels categories, in a fast paced multi-site organisation
- Proven ability to effectively and proactively manage multiple and potentially conflicting stakeholders
- Keen commercial and financial understanding, driving creative and market leading value solutions
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders to drive an optimised outcome
- Proven ability to lead the creation of market leading strategic category plans
- Confident and timely contract drafting and execution, drawing on Legal support when appropriate
