Spare Parts Picker/Distributer

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Spare Parts picker/distributor to join our team. As Shipping operative, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of outgoing shipments, from manufacture of bespoke packaging, completion of preshipping quality documentation, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the dispatch to reduce shipping costs. If you have experience in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and possess strong organizational skills, we would love to hear from you!

The role requires the ability to work a full shift pattern.

Duties:
- Dispatch shipments and verify their contents against works orders/dispatch notes
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel

- Manufacture of bespoke packaging through use of small hand tools such as chop saw, nail gun, heat gun & air ratchet etc
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, and labeling items according to company and customer specifications
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory shipments, update records, and generate shipping documents
- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move materials within the production areas
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Strong materials handling skills with the ability to build and load/unload shipments efficiently
- Proficiency in operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and documentation
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
