Job Title: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) Location: Rainhill Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Immediate Start Axcis are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo). As a SENDCo, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the diverse needs of our students, ensuring that each individual receives the tailored support they require to succeed academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate and oversee the provision of Special Educational Needs (SEN) support across the school. • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with SEN. • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of students' progress and support interventions. • Provide guidance and support to staff on best practices for inclusive teaching and learning strategies. • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and developments in SEN provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Requirements: • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with relevant experience in Special Educational Needs. • Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies. • Organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage workload effectively. • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
