SEN LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS
£100 PER DAY
CENTRAL & SOUTH CROYDON (CR0)
MONDAY - FRIDAY 8AM - 4PM
The roles will be full-time, long-term, supporting various aspects of education (all classroom based), 1:1 and group learning for Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 pupils (5 to 16 years old), the schools cater for children and young people with Social, Emotional, Mental Health & Behavioural Difficulties and additional Learning / Special Educational Needs.
*The school will consider individuals who have experience in mainstream schools and graduates as they will be providing onsite training and CPD.
The successful applicants will have:
- Ideally experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH and/or EBD.
- Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behavior.
- Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.
The role will consist of:
- Work with individuals and groups of students, assist in ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
- Deal with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
- Offering support to the class teacher including helping to implement lesson plans, aims and content.
- Take small group of students for defined activities.
- Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide professional related references
