SalaryWe are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learner Assistant to join our team at an independent SEND school located in Guildford, Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting them in their academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a supportive and engaging atmosphere for all learners.
- Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the unique needs of learners.
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and implement diverse teaching strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license and access to a car are preferred, as the school is located in Guildford.
Salary and Benefits:
The position offers a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £95, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a fulfilling and rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students with Special Educational Needs.
