Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant  

Location: Burton-on-Trent DE15 0TA

Salary: £11.70 – £12.20 per hour (£20,624.76 - £21,506.16 per annum)

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.15 am– 4.15 pm, Friday 8:15am – 3:00pm

Bladon House School is a residential special school for young people aged from 5-19 with Special Educational Needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech & Language Disorders, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs, therapeutic needs (including speech and language and sensory processing needs) and associated challenging behaviour.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of working as a TA within a school setting (Essential)
  • SEN experience (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEN (Desirable)
  • A passion for learning, an engaging personality and resilience
