Special Needs Resource Base (SNRB) Teacher

Location: Torfaen.
Start date:
September 2024.
Contract type:
Temp to perm school contract.

A super exciting opportunity has arisen in the Torfaen area for a Teacher to work within the Special Needs Resource Base within a secondary school. The school are seeking a teacher that is dedicated, passionate and able to provide a fresh perspective within the department. This role would be suitable for a primary or secondary trained teacher (mainstream or SNRB experience).

About the role:

  • Assisting pupils with complex learning difficulties.
  • Experience with speech and language, Autism and behavioural needs desirable.
  • Full-time Monday to Friday 08:30am-15:00pm.
  • Working alongside a Leader, 2 other Teachers and a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and a team of 6 Teaching Assistants.
  • School are open to Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT).

About you:

  • Passionate, caring and approachable.
  • Fully qualified teacher (primary or secondary trained).
  • Able to work with pupils with learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding of Autism and behavioural needs.
  • Extremely patient and able to act on initiative.
