Our client is offering a challenging but exciting opportunity to join their Manufacturing Engineering team. this department is central with the production organisation and responsible for producing robust quality products in line with customer expectation. with significant emphasis given to the modernisation of equipment and systems in line with the 'digital strategy', this is an exciting time to join the team.
Tasks to include
-Create detailed and accurate Tooling models
-Design new equipment and processes for the introduction of new products or the improvement of existing ones
-Facilitate problem solving activities
-Work closely with project managers to meet project timelines and milestones
-Support production readiness reviews
-Assist with ergonomic workshops
-Raising necessary documentation to incorporate change
-Keep up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry
-Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards, making necessary adjustments as required
Requirements
-HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or suitable depth of relevant experience/time served apprentice
-Knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles
-Experience of manipulating and viewing 3D CAD data to extract information
-Ability to interpret Engineering drawings
-Good working knowledge of Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
-Excellent knowledge of design for assembly/manufacture methodology
-Experience of working within company and regulatory processes, standards and specifications
-Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
