The Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for Northern Ireland (FCAMHSNI) is a regional specialist CAMHS developed to support local services.The services FCAMHS deliver are to those that are caring for young people presenting with complex needs and high risks to self or others. Complex needs include mental health difficulties, developmental trauma, substance misuse and/or neurodiversity. The service is inclusive of young people of all intellectual abilities.The post holder will be covering maternity leave for period of 6 months in the first instance and will be required to undertake specialist assessments and provide clinical expertise to local regional services about intervention required. This clinical input is the form of liaison, risk assessment, risk formulation and risk management. The post holder will have a level of skills, knowledge and competencies to provide assessments, formulations and interventions to children and young people within best practice guidelines. The post holder will also provide staff teams and clinical colleagues direct support, consultation, liaison and teaching and training.The post holder will be working within the FCAMHS multidisciplinary team made up of specialist child, adolescent and forensic mental health practitioners.
