The Role

National Care Employer of the Year is looking for full-time and part-time Specialist Key Workers to join the team in a specialist Transitions Project in the County Durham area.

As a Specialist Key Worker, you will provide additional supervision and support to help young people live their lives safely and help them to acquire essential life skills i.e., understanding benefits, budgeting, cooking, and accessing education or training.

Dependent on experience & qualifications, £26,200 - £30,920 projected including sleeps per annum.

Shift information

Specialist Key Worker Shifts are on a 3-week rolling rota, depending on the team you are allocated to, will determine what week you start on, 3x sleep shifts per week, 13 hour shifts plus sleep.

The Transitions team is a small team and due to the growth of the service, requires the addition of a Specialist Support Worker to assist them. We value honesty, commitment, flexibility, integrity, and a great sense of humour!

Essential Requirements:

A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children) or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)

A driving licence and access to a vehicle

Previous experience of working with: Children, 16-18 years old; youth offending; care leavers; substance/alcohol misuse

Candidates must be committed to the role and flexible as will be required to work shifts including; evenings, weekends and some nights as part of a rota.
