The Opportunity:
As a Specification Sales Manager, your core responsibilities lie within the Management, Retention and Development of a highly-valued Client portfolio across Scotland and the North East. With a vast proportion of your Customer base being Glasgow-based, you will dedicate much of your time to this area. Other dominant regions in your territory will include Edinburgh and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
- Management of approximately 100-120 key accounts. 50% warm and 50% prospect business. As this is a relationship focused industry, you will have the patience and tenacity to diligently see through full sales cycles, paying attention to best practices in Customer Relationship Management to maximise account potential.
- Utilising your existing Client relationships within the industry, you will optimise customer “buy-in”, offering expert product advice, offering and demonstrating samples ensuring introductions are adequately followed-up and prospects converted where appropriate.
- In the first year of your new role with Newmor, you will be targeted more heavily on activity inputs vs sales such as client appointments, pipeline reviews and client retention. Your financial year will run from November – November with annual bonuses paid in December, just in time for Christmas. Year 2 onwards will be focused more heavily on sales success.
- Your market share in Scotland is well networked and you will benefit from warm business relationships. There is still plenty of scope to develop further before claiming market-leader status therefore taking interest in your local competitors to gain a commercial advantage is essential.
- Being the furthest SSM from HQ, you will spend 99% of your time away from Head Office, therefore your work ethic and ability to manage your time will heavily dictate your success. Remote support will be available from your colleagues and SLT, however self-motivation and discipline will be required to ensure relationships are developed effectively.
The Culture:
- An inclusive, people-centric yet high performing working culture led from the front by the Senior Leadership Team. Head office sits on the Shropshire/Wales border in the Market town of Welshpool – offering strong commutable links into the Midlands, Northwest and Wales. Unique amongst competitors, a UK HQ offers in-house HR, Accounts and Customer Service support.
- As a Newmor employee, you will never be left feeling under-valued or unsupported. Your contributions will be heard, and you are so much more than just a number. As the business has ambitions plans for growth, there will be opportunities to progress within the organisation and they are passionate about encouraging internal promotions.
