Reed Food and FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a popular business, for Specifications Technologist on a Permanent basis. The company currently produce over 750 different product lines on an annual basis and are seeking a bright NPD professional, who is looking to make a positive impression and progress in this sector.
The role involves a variety of communication internally and externally, ensuring the safe and clear conclusion of product specifications. This role plays a key part in driving new products forward. Please find more details on the Job Responsibilities and key requirements below:
Specifications Technologist
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
ASAP Start
Location: West Midlands
Experience required:
- Experience to degree level within Food
- 12 months experience in a Specifications role
- Industry recognised Food qualification
- Knowledge of food market trends
Responsibilities:
- Complete online and manual specification templates with recipe information, ingredients declaration, nutritional, allergen and all relevant safety and legal detail
- Work with Technical Managers, Product Developers, suppliers and all relevant stakeholders to deliver detailed specifications that capture all appropriate quality, sourcing, safety and legal information for our products and packaging
- To create, check, review and approve finished product specifications and pack copies in customer agreed format and policies
- To check, review & approve client artworks and labels including packaging as required
- Provide support to clients in the completion of accurate specifications & artwork projects through regular feedback and advice
- Organise pack copy review meetings with Product Developers and all relevant stakeholders to ensure artwork consistency meetings are completed in accordance with project timelines in the most cost-effective manner;
