Come and join our adult SLT Team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital as a Band 5 working with your SLT colleagues and wider MDT on the adult acute wards. The joint acute and community Adult SLT Team are a friendly and supportive group of Therapists, Assistants and admin staff serving the Fylde Coast population. You will have access to excellent support for developing your competencies including dysphagia and NQPs, with regular individual and peer supervision. We are dedicated to continued service improvement and over recent years have developed our telehealth capabilities within the community and our inpatient FEES service alongside our long-established videofluoroscopy service. We are also committed to continuing professional development and the training of SLT students.

- deliver a high standard of person-centred SLT care to adults, by participating in the management (assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge) of adults with a variety of communication and swallowing difficulties.
- be involved in the provision of support, guidance and information to patients, their families and other professionals regarding swallowing and communication.
- assist in the clinical supervision and education of Speech and Language therapy assistants.
- participate in the clinical education of Speech and Language therapy students.
- work within and adhere to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of Practice, relevant Trust policies, procedures and guidelines.
- possibly participate in SLT rotation scheme across the wider service.
