We are looking for 2 x full time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists to the join the Early Child Development service within Children and Family Health Devon. These new posts will be based within either the Torbay/South and North Devon (Barnstaple) areas.
We are a developing and innovative, multidisciplinary service working across Devon supporting Early Years children and families and are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and forward thinking locality and county-wide professional team.
As a multidisciplinary service which includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Psychology, you will be joining a strong, enthusiastic and supportive group of professionals who will be your peers, your phone a friend network and your inspiring colleagues.

- To independently manage, with access to support from more senior colleagues, a caseload of patients with developmental communication and acquired disorders of speech, language and communication.
- The provision of a Speech and Language therapy service of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental communication disorders and acquired disorders of speech, language and communication.
- To provide appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes.
- To provide advice to relatives, Early Years and setting staff and other professionals on matters relating to the speech, language and communication needs of individual patients.
- To set up and monitor programmes to be carried out by other key workers.
- To write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.

CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
