1. Responsible for the effective day to day operational management of allocated resources, including budgets, employees and physical assets within the Type 3 facilities.2. Responsible for performance management Type 3 facilities, services and associated resources that contribute to the delivery of Council’s objectives within the context of the Unit’s Performance Framework and provide regular reports to Sport & Wellbeing - General Manager on same.3. Ensuring the effective delivery of strategic frameworks into local programmes that can be delivered across the area as they relate to facilities and the services provided.4. Develop strong networks with key internal and external partners in accordance with the needs of users, non-users and stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in a fair and equal manner across the service area. 5. Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.6. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council..

A third level academic qualification in a relevant subject such as Sports, Leisure or Business.A minimum of one year's operational management experience to include:(a) Staff;(b) Finance; and(c) Facilities.Alternatively, consideration will be given to candidates who do not possess the required educational qualification but who can demonstrate three years' relevant experience as outlined above.Experience of delivery and review of operational policies and procedures within a customer facing organisation.Experience of quality service delivery.Experience in the use of Mircosoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the postholder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.The nature of the post requires availability to work at short notice including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the needs of the service.
