SalaryWe are looking for a passionate and experienced Sports and Fitness Teacher to join our Further Education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential in sports and Fitness in a successful college in Dorset.
The Sports and Fitness Teacher will be:
- Delivering high-quality lessons in sports and Fitness to Further Education students.
- Creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Providing constructive feedback to students to help them improve their performance.
- Assessing student progress and providing regular reports to management.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in sports and Fitness education.
- To teach as required on all courses (full-time, part-time and short courses) within the Outdoor Adventure & Sports Coaching as directed by the Deputy Principal (Curriculum and Quality), Head of Department Outdoor Adventure, Sport and Public Services. In particular, this will include teaching at Level 3.
- Deliver high quality practical sports and Fitness sessions.
- To conduct formative and summative assessments in line with college and awarding body procedures
What you will need:
- A degree in Sports Science or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience teaching sports and Fitness to Further Education students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for sports and Fitness.
This is £25,000-£28,000 pro rata. This is part time position, Hours can vary.
You will be subject to an Enhanced DBS.
