Sport/Behaviour Coach

Milk Education are working in partnership with an alternative provision in the Salford area who are currently recruiting for a full-time behaviour mentor with a background in sports coaching. This is a long-term post with the potential to be made permanent for the right person. Your role as a behaviour mentor, is to support and mentor students who may display behaviours that challenge as a response of their SEMH needs. You will be a key part in the young person’s educational journey, support them in regulating their emotions, boosting attainment and building effective relationships and communication techniques. You will also deliver and engage in competitive sports orientated activities with the students including: Football, Table Tennis, Darts, Pool, Fifa. 

Specific duties and responsibilities:

• Encourage the inclusion of students with SEMH needs by using positive behaviour management techniques 

• Provide specific support to students dependent upon their individual needs and implement strategies to support them with social, emotional and esteem issues

• Be passionate about enabling every student to fulfil their potential

• Be ble to contribute to, and work, as part of a team
