Job description

Trinity Academy Leeds

Sports & Culture Coach (Female)

37 hours per week

Term Time Only (plus 10 days)

Scale 5 (points 12-17) - Actual salary £23,590 - £25,687

This is an exciting time to join the founding team of a brand-new school, Trinity Academy Leeds as it continues to grow and develop.  Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September 2021 to 240 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission, to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond.

Trinity Academy Leeds is part of a wider family of schools, Trinity Multi Academy Trust.  TMAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life. Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

This is a unique opportunity to join our academy’s staff team; an opportunity to help shape, design and grow a school ethos and community as it continues on its journey.  We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sports and Culture Coach to support and drive our unquenchable thirst to provide all students with rich and exciting sporting opportunities as a pillar of their educational experience at TAL.  You must, in short, be 'sports mad!'  Our ideal candidate has played and continues to play sport regularly and has a contagious passion for helping young people find enjoyment and success through a range of sports.  You must be positive, flexible and solution focused and happy to support fixtures and extended clubs/opportunities.  You should be a strong pastoral presence around the academy and lead by example as a strong role model for our young people.

The successful candidate will be well supported through effective leadership and systems in a high performing MAT, an excellent CPD package, and the opportunity to progress as the school and the MAT continue to grow.

What we need?

  • At least 5 or more GCSE’s including English and Maths at grade c or above (or equivalent).
  • Experience of successfully working with young people in a sporting context
  • Experience of successfully organising, participating or supporting with a range of different sports
  • Strong inter-personal written, verbal and presentation skills

What can we offer you?

  • The opportunity to work with a progressive and forward thinking, Multi Academy Trust, where you are making the difference to the lives of hundreds of young people.
  • Opportunities for development and career progression.
  • Range of benefits including reduced cost health cover and access to the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.
