Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Sports Graduates, to take on the role of PE coaches, in a secondary school based in Corby commencing January 2024.
The role is full time and there is the opportunity for teacher training to be offered by the school.
Job purpose:
To support the sports department in the delivery of an outstanding sporting programme. The successful candidates should be able to show a high level of competence and ability in coaching one or more of the schools focus sports: football, netball, cricket, rugby or swimming.
You will extend, challenge and develop the school’s most able performers and will inspire and nurture a love for sport in every pupil in the school. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the delivery of games and the coaching of sports teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivery of coaching of games lessons and the sporting co-curricular programme.
- Delivery of core PE, games, and swimming lessons.
- Assist in department administration as directed by the Director or Sport.
- Coaching, scoring, refereeing, or umpiring fixtures.
The post is suitable for candidates who are talented and passionate all-round sportspeople who wish to develop their coaching or become a PE teacher. The successful candidates will ideally possess high skill levels and knowledge of at least one of the school’s focus sports, and be hard-working, reliable individuals.
