Painter
Reporting To: Line Manager/Supervisor
Job Purpose: Apply paint to fabricated and cast products within the workshop enabling manufacturing requirements to be met in the most effective and efficient manner, ensuring orders are processed in accordance with the production schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, communicate and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and measure their effectiveness
- Move and position components/products using overhead crane or other lifting equipment as provided and in accordance with instruction given
- Prepare and apply paint to a range of fabricated and cast products as per job instructions and to the required standard
- Monitor paint supply and advise Manager/Supervisor on a timely basis of any potential shortfall to ensure adequate supply of paint at all times
- Organise and plan daily work and record work carried out through computerised data capture system as shown
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment in a safe working order and in peak production condition to include paint pumps, consumables and paint booth filters
- Work within the internal quality system ensuring that a high standard of production is maintained through to finished product stage
- In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all Health & Safety Systems and Standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to. This includes the wearing and maintenance of respiratory and personal protective equipment
- Drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general housekeeping
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Managing Director
