SQL DBA (SQL Database Administrator)
Remote - Contract
6 months initially
Circa £450-£500 per day, Inside IR35 (working via an Umbrella Company)
A financial services organisation is currently seeking an experienced SQL DBA to join their team on an initial 6-month Contract. The role will be predominantly remotely based (in the UK) but will require very occasional travel to Newcastle (quarterly).
To be successful in this Contract, our client is seeking Contractors who possess the following skills & experience -
- In-depth & proven experience working as a Production DBA in a SQL Server environment, providing support for mission critical applications. Versions up to and including SQL Server 2019
- Strong & extensive experience in performance monitoring & database optimisation tools/techniques, alongside strong knowledge of backup & recovery tools.
- PowerShell or scripting experience would be advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box when required
- Strong people, communication and inter-personal skills, working on own initiative & as part of a large team
